PM Modi Highlights Technology and Innovation as Pillars of India–New Zealand Partnership
Prime Minister calls for deeper cooperation in artificial intelligence, space technology and digital innovation during his address in Auckland.
Auckland, July 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised technology, innovation and digital transformation as central pillars of the evolving relationship between India and New Zealand, calling for stronger collaboration in emerging technologies, research, artificial intelligence and space sciences during his visit to Auckland.
Addressing members of the Indian diaspora, Modi said both nations possess complementary strengths that can be leveraged to build a future oriented strategic partnership. He noted that cooperation in advanced technologies would not only strengthen bilateral relations but also contribute to economic growth, innovation and global competitiveness.
The Prime Minister highlighted India’s rapid digital transformation over the past decade, pointing to advancements in digital public infrastructure, fintech, startup innovation and artificial intelligence. According to him, India’s technology ecosystem has created opportunities for collaboration with countries seeking trusted digital partnerships.
Technology featured prominently in discussions surrounding future bilateral cooperation, alongside trade, education, clean energy, agriculture and scientific research.
