NEW DELHI, April 15: Narendra Modi on Wednesday conveyed his heartfelt wishes to citizens across the country celebrating Rongali Bihu, Vishu and Poila Boishakh, underlining the importance of unity, prosperity and cultural richness.
Marking these vibrant regional festivals observed in Assam, Kerala and West Bengal respectively, the Prime Minister expressed hope that the spirit of joy, harmony and brotherhood continues to strengthen the social fabric of the nation.
In his message, Modi acknowledged the enthusiasm and diversity reflected in celebrations across India, noting that such occasions highlight the country’s cultural depth and collective spirit. He also extended gratitude to the nation’s farming community, recognising their vital contribution in sustaining livelihoods and ensuring food security.
Greeting people on Rongali Bihu, the Prime Minister described the festival as a symbol of new beginnings, prosperity and togetherness. He emphasised that the celebration beautifully represents Assamese traditions and continues to gain recognition nationwide.
