Rahul Gandhi Condemns PM Modi’s Diversion Tactics and Divisive Rhetoric and Alleged Attempts to Sidestep Real Issues

PM Modi's Redistribution Remarks Draw Congress Ire: Allegations of Wealth Transfer to 'Infiltrators' Spark Political Firestorm

New Delhi, 22-04-2024 : The Congress, led by former chief Rahul Gandhi, launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of resorting to divisive rhetoric and employing various tactics to divert attention from pressing issues plaguing the nation. In response to PM Modi’s recent remarks on the redistribution of wealth and other contentious issues, the Congress lambasted him for engaging in what they termed as “lies” and “hate speech” to deflect public focus from genuine concerns.

Highlighting the Congress’ latest advertisement addressing the escalating prices and unemployment crisis in the country, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the alarming levels of joblessness and inflation while ridiculing PM Modi’s assertions that “everything is fine.” Gandhi asserted that despite Modi’s attempts to deflect attention using new techniques, the era of falsehoods is drawing to a close.

Adding fuel to the fire, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh intensified the onslaught on the Prime Minister, condemning his use of divisive language on various fronts. Ramesh questioned Modi’s silence on crucial issues such as the delay in conducting the scheduled census, which should have been conducted in 2021 but remains unresolved. He accused the government of conspiring to undermine the principles enshrined in the Constitution drafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar.

The Congress escalated its criticism of the Prime Minister following his insinuation that a Congress-led government would redistribute wealth to certain communities, particularly Muslims. PM Modi alleged that the Congress intends to transfer the hard-earned resources of the people to “infiltrators” and families with larger offspring. These remarks were made during a rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, where Modi accused the Congress of prioritizing certain communities over others in resource allocation.

The exchange of barbs between the Congress and the Prime Minister underscores the heightened political tensions and the battle for narrative shaping as the Lok Sabha election campaign intensifies.
