Indian Business Leader Rahul Sahai Receives International Recognition in Tbilisi
22nd December 2024, Tbilisi, Georgia: Rahul Sahai, a renowned business leader from Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Jammu Chapter, was honored with the prestigious Business Leadership Award by the Dainik Jagran Group. The grand ceremony, held in Tbilisi, Georgia, recognized his outstanding contributions to the industrial and business sector of J&K. His wife, Rupika Sahai, Director of the Sahai Group of Companies, was also acknowledged for her role in shaping the region’s business landscape.
The award celebrates Sahai’s transformative leadership and his relentless efforts to foster industrial growth and innovation in J&K. As a prominent figure in the business community, Sahai has held various influential positions, including Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K Council and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI). His current leadership of the ICC Jammu Chapter has further solidified his status as a key player in the region’s economic development.
In his acceptance speech, Sahai dedicated the award to his late father, Shri Ram Sahai, while expressing heartfelt gratitude to his family—especially his wife Rupika and daughters Riddhi and Akaisha—for their steadfast support. “This award is not just a personal milestone but a testament to the collective efforts of my family, colleagues, and the people of Jammu & Kashmir. My heartfelt thanks go to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha Ji, and former Chief Minister, Jenab Omar Abdullah, for their visionary leadership and unwavering support of the industrial fraternity,” Sahai remarked.
Rahul Sahai emphasized the growing strength of India’s economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reflected on the global success of the G20 meeting held in Kashmir. He extended a cordial invitation to business leaders from India and Georgia to visit J&K, encouraging collaborations to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities.
The ceremony also paid homage to the 11 Indians who tragically lost their lives in a Georgian ski resort, underscoring the resilience of the Indian community. The event recognized several other Indian luminaries for their contributions across various sectors. Prominent awardees included Dr. Rupesh K. Singh, Associate Vice President of the Adani Group, and Acharya Manish, founder of Jeena Seekho Life Careers Ltd.
