Rajasthan Conducts Class IV Recruitment Exam for 53,749 Posts After Two Decades
25 lakh aspirants compete across 1,300 centres in state wide written test
Jaipur, Sept 19: Rajasthan has begun its largest recruitment drive for Class IV (grade) employees in two decades, with nearly 25 lakh aspirants vying for 53,749 posts in government service. The written examination, conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Recruitment Board, commenced on Friday and will run in six shifts over three days, concluding on Sunday.
According to officials, the exam is being held at 1,300 centres across 38 districts of the state. In Jaipur alone, 75,000 candidates appeared in the first shift, registering 84 percent attendance. An equal number of candidates were slated to take the second shift on the same day.
The recruitment is being held after nearly 20 years, making it a significant opportunity for job-seeking youth. While the minimum qualification required is matriculation (Class 10), the examination has attracted candidates with higher qualifications, including graduates, postgraduates, and even those with professional degrees.
Authorities said the massive turnout highlights the growing demand for secure government jobs in the state and the keen interest among educated youth in entry level posts.
