Rijiju After NDA’s ‘Mangal Milan’ Meeting: “PM Modi Supports Students, No One Involved in NEET Leaks Will Be Spared”

New Delhi: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that the government stands firmly with students amid concerns surrounding alleged irregularities and paper leaks linked to the NEET examination.

Speaking to reporters after the NDA Parliamentary Party’s ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting, Rijiju said the Prime Minister stressed that those responsible for examination related misconduct would face strict action and that such issues should not be turned into a political controversy.

Rijiju said the Prime Minister described paper leaks as a matter of national importance and emphasised the need for coordinated action by both the Centre and state governments to address such incidents.

PM Modi Assures Support to Students Over Exam Concerns

According to Rijiju, the Prime Minister made it clear that the government’s priority is protecting the interests of students and ensuring fairness in competitive examinations.

He said legal experts would be consulted while taking action against individuals involved in paper leak cases to ensure strong and effective measures.

The minister added that examination integrity is crucial for millions of young aspirants who depend on competitive exams for their future careers.

NEET Controversy Sparks Political Debate

Rijiju’s statement came amid growing protests over alleged irregularities related to the NEET-UG examination. Demonstrations intensified after concerns were raised by student groups and opposition parties demanding accountability and transparency in the examination process.

A delegation from the protesting group recently met Union Health Minister JP Nadda to raise their concerns, while a planned march towards Parliament witnessed clashes and disruptions.

The government has maintained that any person found involved in malpractice will face appropriate legal action.

NDA Meeting Discusses Key National Issues

Apart from the NEET issue, Rijiju described the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting as productive and informative. He said Prime Minister Modi guided lawmakers on several important matters concerning the country’s progress and future priorities.

The meeting, now referred to as ‘Mangal Milan’, also welcomed newly elected Rajya Sabha members, including Nitin Nabin.

Rijiju said the Prime Minister highlighted India’s achievements in recent months and discussed developments related to international trade agreements signed with different countries.

Farmers’ Interests Will Remain Priority in FTAs: Rijiju

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi also addressed concerns related to Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and assured NDA members that farmers’ interests would remain at the centre of government decisions.

Rijiju said the Prime Minister made it clear that trade agreements would not compromise the welfare of farmers and that every step would be taken to protect their economic interests.

He added that the government remains committed to strengthening the agricultural sector and ensuring that national policies benefit farming communities.

Government Reiterates Commitment to Fair Examinations

The issue of examination paper leaks has become a major concern as millions of students appear for competitive tests every year. Ensuring transparency, preventing malpractice, and maintaining confidence in the examination system remain key challenges for authorities.
