SAYWS Honors DC Jammu Ms. Avni Lavasa for Her Visit to Langar

20-07-2023 : Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ms. Avni Lavasa visited the langar of Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society (SAYWS) along with Manu Hansa SDM which is located opposite Saraswati Dham at the Railway Station where she interacted with the pilgrims and assessed the facilities provided to them. She also served the langar to pilgrims here and commended the services being offered by SAYWS.

As a gesture of appreciation, SAYWS office bearers honoured Ms Avny Lavasa DC Jammu, and presented her with photographs of the naturally formed Ice-Lingam of Baba Amarnathji.

She appreciated the langar committee for their tireless efforts. Expressing his gratitude, Sh Kiran Wattal President of SAYWS thanked all guests for their visit and provided a brief overview of the society’s activities.

Later, Sh Anil Gupta Senior Vice President SAYWS emphasized that utmost attention was given to maintaining cleanliness at the langar, and packaged drinking water bottles were provided to the pilgrims. Mr. Gupta also said the Jammu people has shown their hospitality to the pilgrims. He also praised the administration & police personnel for round-the-clock services to pilgrims. He also thanked the media for providing timely information to pilgrims. He further highlighted that SAYWS ran the langar solely with the support of its office bearers, without any external contributions. Also, “Approximately 3,000 to 4,000 pilgrims are served langar at the SAYWS venue on a daily basis,” he said. He also thanked Sh. Ravinder Sawhney Ji & Ashok Khajuria Ji ex MLA for their visit.
