Take BJP’s developmental agenda to people: Raina

Says PM Modi given momentum to campaign for burning social issues through "Mann Ki Baat" programme

JAMMU, Feb 26: Dire need to take the party’s developmental agenda to every nook and corner of the Jammu and Kashmir and apprise the people about the performance of over eight years of Narendra Modi Government.

This was stated by Ravinder Raina, President BJP J&K while addressing a massive gathering during the programme organized by Party’s Kissan Morcha in connection with PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat in Jammu today.

Raina said that the Modi Government has many remarkable achievements to its credit on the developmental front so far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned including abrogation of Articles 370. He said the public policies of the Modi Government which brought drastic change in the lives of people of J&K be highlighted across the Union Territory. The remarkable achievements in the field of education, health, housing and welfare need to be highlighted before the masses, he added.

“The abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A is not only our achievement in J&K, establishing of two AIIMS, IIT, IIM, Medical Colleges, flyovers, highways, power projects, biotech parks and many other welfare schemes launched for general public and other neglected sections of the society,” he added.

Today’s programme was organized by Bawa Chanchal Singh Chib, Vice President of BJP Kissan Morcha J&K in which Ravinder Raina, Devender Rana, senior BJP leader, Sarabjit Singh Johal, President BJP Kissan Morcha, J&K, Hatam Singh Gurjar and other senior leader were also present. More than 2000 farmers were present and listened to PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme.

Raina said that PM Modi has given momentum to the campaign for burning social issues through the “Mann Ki Baat” programme. He said that the main purpose of the programme is to “establish a dialogue with the citizens on issues of day-to-day governance” and it is in accordance with the principle of inclusion of everyone into the governance.

Devender Rana, in his address, said that the “Mann Ki Baat ” programme has proved to be the most successful in terms of listeners and its utility. He said that “Mann Ki Baat” programme should not be seen in the political context as through this programme, the Prime Minister as a leader of all residents of this nation covers all the relevant social issues of high priority with the involvement of prominent social personalities.

Saying that PM Modi has transformed the country’s politico-development ethos in the recent past, Rana said that the world’s largest political party is committed to inclusive growth of Jammu and Kashmir in every sphere by taking every segment along.

Sarbjit Singh johal dwelt in detail various path-breaking initiatives taken across Jammu and Kashmir during the past nearly four years with an avowed objective of ensuring development, creating infrastructural facilities, strengthening utility services, and giving a fillip to growth as a result of massive investments. He said that J&K is at the threshold of a new era of peace and progress as per Naya J&K’s vision of the Prime Minister.

Johal asked the Kissan Morcha leaders and workers to ensure that the “Mann Ki Baat” programme is listened to at every booth with the participation of prominent persons of the society. He asked the party cadre to make every possible effort in strengthening the base of the party in every nook and corner of the Union Territory.

Prominent among those who were present include General Secretary Rakesh Pant, Vice Presidents Satish Bharti, Darshan Choudhary and Balbir Kour, Secretaries Anita Langeh, Kuldeep Kaur, Kulbir Kaur and Subash Kumar, Executive Members Balwinder Sharma, Rabia Rasool, Abid, Rakesh Kumar, J&K Prabhari Kisan Morcha Hatam Singh Nagar and all Kissan Morcha team, District Presidents and Mandal Presidents.
