Taylor Swift’s Leaked Texts Criticize Justin Baldoni Amid Blake Lively Legal Battle

Pop star’s texts surface as courtroom clash over It Ends With Us escalates between Lively and Baldoni

New York, Jan 22 : Global pop icon Taylor Swift has become an unexpected participant in the intensifying legal battle between It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni and actor Blake Lively, after private text messages allegedly containing sharp criticism of Baldoni were revealed in court filings.

According to documents linked to the ongoing lawsuit, Swift expressed disdain for Baldoni while discussing the controversy surrounding the film and an anticipated New York Times exposé on the dispute.

‘Tiny violin’: Swift’s Alleged Comment
One message cited in court reportedly had Swift telling Lively, “I think this… knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin,” a remark widely interpreted as mocking Baldoni’s public posture amid the escalating backlash.

The private exchanges have now become part of the broader legal narrative, adding a celebrity dimension to the courtroom dispute.

Blake Lively’s Earlier Messages Surface
The filings also reveal that Lively had expressed frustration with Baldoni previously, calling him the “doofus director of my movie” and a “clown” in a message to Swift, mocking his ambitions and creative decisions.

Origins of the Feud
The conflict reportedly began during the production of It Ends With Us, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestseller, when multiple cast and crew members accused Baldoni of inappropriate behavior on set allegations he has denied. Creative disagreements intensified when Lively objected to Baldoni’s version of the film, claiming it stripped female characters of agency and portrayed the central abusive relationship problematically. Lively prepared her own cut, further escalating tensions.

Refusal to Promote Film Together
The feud spilled over into the promotional phase, with Lively refusing to appear alongside Baldoni and producer Jamey Heath. She alleged they attempted to damage her reputation in retaliation for raising concerns, stating, “They painted themselves as the victims and me as a bully.”

Legal Battle Moves Forward
Lively has since filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, his publicist, and the film’s producers, alleging harassment and retaliation. The case is scheduled for trial on May 18. Baldoni’s team has sought to dismiss the lawsuit, describing Lively’s complaints as “minor grievances,” with a hearing set for Thursday.

With Taylor Swift’s private texts now part of the public record, what began as behind the scenes creative clashes has transformed into a high-profile legal and celebrity showdown.
