TISS Launches School of Analytics and AI With Two New Courses

Mumbai, Aug 21: The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has launched a new School of Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, expanding its academic focus towards emerging technologies, data driven research and policy applications.
The new school is designed to develop expertise in analytics and AI while creating opportunities for interdisciplinary research and advanced learning. According to the Times of India Education report, the initiative aims to develop into a global hub for research, policy advisory and capacity building.
The institution has also introduced two new courses under the initiative, giving students an opportunity to develop skills in areas that are increasingly influencing businesses, public policy and social development.
The launch comes amid growing demand for professionals who can combine technological knowledge with an understanding of social and economic challenges. Educational institutions across India are increasingly incorporating artificial intelligence, data analytics and related technologies into their academic programmes.
