Tony appeals LG to intervene to restore faith among job aspirants
Supports Bandh call against Property Tax
JAMMU: Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and District Development Council (DDC) Member Suchetgarh sought intervention of Lt Governor in restoring faith among youth of Jammu and Kashmir who are on roads protesting against hiring of a black-listed company.
In a statement issued here today, the senior AAP leader said that JKSSB has always been in controversy with regard to the conducting of various exams for appointments in several government departments.
Tony appealed to the LG Sinha to intervene and restore the faith of protesting jobs aspirants by cancelling all contracts with Aptech and hiring a new agency which has a strong and reputed track record in other states of conducting recruitment tests with fairness and transparency.
While extending support to the Jammu Bandh call given by Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu, Tony appealed to the leaders of opposition parties to get united and extend support in making Jammu Bandh call a success against the arbitrarily and autocratic property tax imposed by the proxy government of BJP at the Centre.
Tony asserted that directionless policies of BJP Government at the Centre has in actual fact made this dispensation apprehensive and that is the reason the people sitting at helm are imposing dictatorial orders like property tax on the poor population.
Tony appealed to the leaders of opposition parties to shun their political differences and get united for the benefit of the people of J&K. He further appealed to social and political organizations of Jammu to extend full support in making this Jammu Bandh call successful.
