Violation of SOPs to invite penal action: DC Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 27: In order to take stock of the implementation of COVID-19 containment measures in the District, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib conducted a market inspection here in Chopra Shop and Garhi areas.

During the extensive market checking of the business establishments, she found that one sweet shop and readymade garments were violating the SOPs. The DC ordered for closing the sweet shop and readymade garments shop in Garhi area and owners were penalized

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner sensitized the shopkeepers and the general public about the importance of the usage of face masks and adhering to social distance norms to contain the spread of COVID-19. She warned that violation of guidelines will invite panel action.

She asked all the shopkeepers and the general public of the area to avoid moving out of their homes and ensure following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour in the larger public interest.
