Virendra Jain Pledges to Prioritize MSME Issues and Strengthen Jammu’s Industrial Sector as New President
Virendra Jain Assumes Leadership of Association of Industries, Gangyal, Promises Strong Advocacy for Local MSMEs
Jammu, 19-11-2024: Sh. Virendra Jain, the newly elected President of the Association of Industries (Regd.), Gangyal, Jammu, extended his gratitude to the members for placing their confidence in him to lead the association. Taking charge alongside a team of newly elected office-bearers, including Sh. S.B. Abrol as Senior Vice President, Sandeep Ohri as Vice President, Sanjay Langar as General Secretary, Ajay Kumar Mahajan as Secretary, and Jatinder Singh as Treasurer, he emphasized his commitment to addressing the concerns of the association’s members and the broader community of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the Jammu region and Jammu & Kashmir as a whole.
The new leadership expressed their appreciation for the outgoing team, led by S. Tejwant Singh Reen, acknowledging their efforts in representing the association effectively. Shri Jain assured the members that the challenges faced by the local industrial sector, especially those related to the marketing of products to government departments and agencies, would be prioritized. He highlighted the need for intervention by the J&K Government to ensure fair opportunities for local entrepreneurs and pledged to leave no stone unturned in advocating for their interests.
Sh. Jain commended the proactive approach of Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Omar Abdullah, who had recently prioritized engaging with industrial representatives during his visit to Jammu. He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Surinder Choudhary, who also oversees the Industries and Commerce Department, there would be significant progress in addressing the issues plaguing the industrial sector. This, he believed, would help create new employment opportunities and offer much-needed support to the MSE sector.
In his address, Sh. Jain highlighted several key issues requiring immediate attention, including the need to grant freehold status to industrial plots and improve infrastructure within existing industrial estates and areas. He assured members of his intent to work closely with concerned departments and agencies to achieve these objectives. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of fostering coordination with other industrial associations, particularly those in Kashmir, to ensure collective representation and accelerate the resolution of long-standing issues.
He pledged to consult senior members regularly to ensure the efficient management of the association’s operations, emphasizing his commitment to meeting the expectations of its members throughout his tenure. Under his stewardship, the association is poised to tackle pressing challenges, foster unity among industrial stakeholders, and vigorously advocate for the advancement of the industrial sector across Jammu and Kashmir.
