Virendra Jain takes charge as new Chairman of Federation of Industries, Jammu; vows to safeguard J&K’s existing industry

Jammu, 011-07-2025: A meeting of the Federation of Industries, Jammu was held at the Association of Industries Office, Gangyal, to elect the chairman and other office bearers of the Federation of Industries, Jammu for the period 2025-26. As per the constitution of the Federation of Industries, Jammu, Sh. Virendra Jain has assumed the charge of the Federation of Industries, Jammu. Mr. Jain praised the outgoing chairman, Sh. Lalit Mahajan, along with his team, after successfully completed their term. The other office bearers of the Federation of Industries, Jammu, elected are :
1. Sh. Jatinder Aul (President, Industries Association, Digiana) (Co-Chairman)
2. Sh. S.C. Dutta (President, Birpur Industries Association) (Co-Chairman)
3. Sh. Lalit Mahajan (President, Bari Brahamna Industries Association) (Co-Chairman)
4. Sh. Viraaj Malhotra as Secretary General
5. Sh. Sanjay Langar as Convener
The members present on the occasion applauded the efforts of the outgoing chairman and his team in getting issues of the industry highlighted before the concerned authorities. Sh. Virendra Jain assured the members that his team will leave no stone unturned to get the pending issues resolved by the government. In his first statement after taking charge of the chairmanship of the Federation of Industries, Jammu, Mr. Virendra Jain pleaded that the Govt. should come out in the rescue of the existing industrial sector of J&K as otherwise it may collapse. Mr. Jain requested the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Hon’ble Chief Minister, and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister to issue instructions to the concerned authorities to release announced/promised incentives in favour of the industry without further delay. Mr. Jain also requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor and Hon’ble Chief Minister that the new package of incentives for the existing Micro/Small Industrial Sector in line with the NCSS incentives may be formulated for providing a level playing field for the existing Micro/Small Industrial Sector of J&K. This is the need of the hour for the survival of existing industry.
Various Industrial Associations’ representatives from Districts Kathua, Samba, and Jammu participated in the meeting. Members who attended the meeting include S/Sh. Tarun Singla, S.B. Abrol, Sanjay Chopra, Ankur Jain, Sandeep Ohri, Vinod Sharma, Rajesh Jain, Ajay Kr. Mahajan, Inderesh Badyal, Munish Sharma, Jitender Singh, Sunil Jain, Subash Goswami, etc.
