World consumer rights day observed at Udhampur

 UDHAMPUR, MARCH 15: Like in other parts of the country, world consumer right day was today celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety at Udhampur.

An impressive programme was organized by the Department of Food Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs, wherein District Development Council Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand was the chief guest.

While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest sensitized the public about the importance of the day and the rights of the public as consumers. During the programme, the public was also made aware of the new consumer protection Act 2019 and information about the amendments made.

The programme was attended by Block Development Chairman, Balwan Singh; Assistant Director FCS&CA, Manoj Kumar; PRI, staff members and the general public of the concerned area.
