NC, PDP biggest scam beneficiaries: Shahnawaz
Srinagar, 27-11-2020: National spokesperson Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain Thursday said that the National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party are the biggest beneficiaries of the repealed Roshni Act and every single penny would be taken back from those who have looted the people of Jammu and Kashmir through this scam.
Addressing a press conference, Shahnawaz Hussain said the silence of Dr.Farooq Abdullah on the issue is an acknowledgment that the family is indeed benefited from the Roshni Act.
As per the list uploaded on the website of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP office, National Conference (NC) president and Member of Parliament (MP) Farooq Abdullah and his son former chief minister Omar Abdullah have been named in the list of encroached state land in Jammu.
Shahnawaz Hussain also rebutted that there is any “political vendetta” against the regional parties and said the action taken against the beneficiaries of the Roshni scheme was not biased.
“The investigation and action are taking place against all those who have benefitted from it. Do not link it with Jammu or Kashmir or Hindus and Muslims. Every penny will be taken back from those who have looted the people of J&K,” Shahnawaz Hussain said.
Shahnawaz Hussain, who has been appointed Kashmir in-charge of the upcoming District Development Council (DDC) polls, said there would be zero tolerance towards corruption in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shahnawaz Hussain said the party was contesting the polls on the development plank, but the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) was running away from developmental issues.
“We are fighting the polls on the plank of development and corruption-free J&K. But, the Gupkar gang is silent on the issue of development. They are not talking about development or dynasty politics or corruption,” he said.
He also condemned the attack on security forces in the Parimpora area in which two Army personnel were killed.
