Shiv Sena demands to dismiss SASB, hand over the Yatra management  to Shankaracharyas

Religious faith hurts due to disappearance of Holy Shivling. Demand to return the registration amount.

Jammu: After the Pahalgam attack, defying all speculations, hopes of a record number of Yatra were raised by the huge crowd of devotees of Baba Barfani, but once again the disappearance of the Holy Shivlingam has hurt religious faith. The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board should be dismissed and the management of Yatra-2026 should be handed over to Hindu spiritual leaders and Shankaracharyas, stated by Manish Sahni, President , Shiv Sena UBT Jammu-Kashmir unit.
In a press conference held today at the party state office in Jammu, State Chief Manish Sahni, while sharing some pictures taken during the live aarti of Shri Amarnath Yatra and information received from the pilgrims, has strongly criticized the working style of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board regarding the disappearance of the Holy Him Shivlingam.
Sahni said that the religious sentiments of lakhs of devotees have been hurt. The Shrine Board has once again proved unsuccessful in keeping Holy Shiv lingam safe for darshan till the duration of the Yatra. This time the Shivling disappeared in the first week of the Yatra. Although the record heat of Kashmir can also be a reason, but the movement of vehicles through Baltal before the start of the Yatra and the darshan of Baba Barfani by thousands of VVIPs, VIPs, favourites and bureaucracy cannot be ignored. Which should be thoroughly investigated.
Sahni said that the Shrine Board is also being accused of commercializing the Yatra, instead of providing facilities to the pilgrims, money is being collected from the devotees in the guise of registration collection, tents, huts etc. Sahni said that such negligence regarding the religious pilgrimages of Hindus cannot be tolerated.
With an appeal to Hindu religious gurus and Shankaracharyas to come forward, Sahni demanded the dismissal of the Shrine Board, handing over the operation of Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 to Hindu religious gurus and Shankaracharyas. On this occasion, Meenakshi Chhibber (president of the women’s wing), Sanjeev Kohli (working president), and Happy Verma (president of the youth unit) were present.
