SIA Conducts Raids in South Kashmir Over Hizb Terrorist Escape Case
Searches being carried out in Awantipora and Bijbehara; no arrests or recoveries reported so far.
Srinagar, Sept 10: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday carried out raids in Awantipora and Bijbehara areas of South Kashmir in connection with the escape of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Amin Baba.
According to officials, teams of the SIA, assisted by local police, conducted searches at two locations in the twin towns. The raids are linked to an ongoing investigation into the escape of the Hizbul operative.
As of the filing of this report, no arrests or recoveries had been made. Authorities said further details will be shared as the operation progresses.
