JAMMU, Sep 15: A posting order in the RS Pura Sub Division has sparked debate within administrative circles, as a senior JKAS officer has been placed under a junior counterpart.
According to details accessed by Cross Town News, JKAS Officer Anuradha Thakur (2012 Batch-II) has been posted as Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) RS Pura, while Chander Shekhar (2012 Batch-I), senior in service, is serving as Tehsildar in the same Sub Division.
Sources in the administration revealed that Chander Shekhar has already been promoted, but his new posting befitting his rank is still awaited.
The development has raised questions about adherence to seniority norms in postings, with observers suggesting that such decisions could potentially impact morale within the cadre.
