JAMMU, Sep 23: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday paid tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh on his 130th birth anniversary. In a post on X, the L-G wrote, “Tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji on his Janm-Jayanti. A statesman of excellence & harbinger of change, he introduced landmark reforms to ensure welfare of common man. His legacy of inclusive governance, progressive vision & contributions to motherland continues to inspire us.”
Maharaja Hari Singh, the last ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, is remembered for his progressive policies and efforts to modernize the region, leaving a lasting impact on governance and social welfare.
