Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij finalised their divorce in July–August, reports claim

Mumbai, Oct 27 : Television actors Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij, one of the small screen’s most loved couples, have reportedly called it quits after 15 years of marriage. According to a Hindustan Times report, the two filed for divorce a few months ago, with papers allegedly signed and finalised between July and August 2025.

The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2010, share three children  their biological daughter Tara and two foster children, Rajveer and Khushi. Sources cited in the report said that the custody arrangements for the kids have already been settled.

“Much was tried, but nothing changed. Separation happened a long time ago. They filed for divorce a couple of months back. The papers have been signed and finalised in July–August, and the custody of the kids has also been decided,” the source revealed.

Trouble in the marriage reportedly stemmed from trust issues between the two. Once active together on social media, Jay and Mahhi stopped posting pictures as a couple, with their last family post appearing in June 2024.

Speculation about their separation intensified after Mahhi’s sharp response to a query about her marriage. When asked about rumours, she reportedly said, “Why should I tell you? Are you my uncle?” Although the two appeared together at their daughter Tara’s birthday celebration in August, reports suggest they maintained distance during the event.

Earlier, Jay had spoken fondly about his relationship with Mahhi on India’s Best Dancer 3, recalling how he proposed to her just three months after they met. “Within three months, I decided that I would get into a relationship. On December 31, 2009, I proposed to her, and in 2010, we got married,” he shared.

Neither Jay nor Mahhi has yet issued an official statement regarding the reported separation.
