India, Oct 27 : Veteran Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has made a grand foray into Tamil cinema, with her debut in superstar Suriya’s upcoming film ‘Suriya 46’, directed by Venky Atluri. The announcement came as a special birthday surprise for the actress on October 26, making the day even more memorable for her and her fans.
The film’s production team shared the exciting news on social media, writing, “Wishing the ever-graceful @TandonRaveena a very Happy Birthday. We are so glad to have you on board and look forward to an amazing journey ahead.”
‘Suriya 46’ is one of the most anticipated Tamil films, having gone on floors in May with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. The team thanked veteran filmmaker Trivikram for giving the ceremonial first clap to begin the shoot. The movie is slated for a summer 2026 release and promises a perfect blend of high octane drama and entertainment.
The film stars Suriya in the lead, with Mamitha Baiju as the female lead and Radhika Sarathkumar in a pivotal role. Music will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, adding further anticipation to the project.
