Kullu to Host Two-Day National Workshop on Modern Land Administration from Nov 20

Top officials, experts and industry leaders to review Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme and chart next-phase reforms.

Kullu, Nov 20: A two day National Workshop on the Adoption of Modern Technologies in Land Administration will be held in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, on November 20–21, 2025. The event is being organised by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Government of India, in collaboration with the Directorate of Land Records, Himachal Pradesh.
The workshop will function as a high-level platform to review nationwide progress under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP). Senior officials from States and Union Territories including Principal Secretaries, Revenue Secretaries, Directors of Land Records and Settlement Commissioners will participate to discuss challenges, share innovations and assess policy needs.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will inaugurate the workshop as Chief Guest and deliver the keynote address. He will be joined by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi and Manoj Joshi, Secretary of the Department of Land Resources. On the second day, Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania will also address participants.
The workshop aims to promote dialogue on state led advancements in land governance, including real-time geospatial mapping, drone-based surveys, e-registration systems and blockchain enabled title authentication.
Domain experts from the Survey of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), and leading technology companies such as ESRI India, Hexagon India, and Map My India will join panel discussions.
The outcomes of the workshop are expected to shape key system level reforms for accelerating land records modernization and advancing transparent, efficient and citizen centric land governance across India.
