Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan Gains Momentum in Jammu as Rita Choudhary Pushes for Transparent Party Reorganisation

Congress to Prioritise Marginalised, Youth and Women in Jammu Urban Revamp: AICC Observer Rita Choudhary

Jammu, November 29 : Ms. Rita Choudhary Hon’ble MLA & AICC Observer for Sangthan Srijan Abhiyan for Jammu Urban District said that the process of revamping the district organizational structure  of the party, the priority will be given to the  people from marginalized society, oppressed class and women by infusing functional, committed and young leadership to strengthen the party.

Addressing Press Conference here at PCC HQ Jammu on the sidelines of the Sangthan Srijan Abhiyan (Structural Reformation Mission) Ms. Rita Choudhary (MLA) said that as per the AICC decision, efforts were being made in a more transparent way to bring people who are committed to the party ideology, democracy and Constitution of India to the district congress committee leadership.

She said  that she would be meeting to the senior leaders, party cadre and  members of civil society of Jammu Urban district and take their view point  adding that  any person interested to become part of DCC can get the application form and apply.

Ms. Choudhary said that the party would give priority to youths, people from marginalized society, oppressed class, women to head the party. Besides, the AICC has decided to give more powers to the DCCs.

Earlier she was welcomed by Working President of the PCC Shri Raman Bhalla, former Minister Yogesh Sawhney, ex-MP S. Bajwa, ex-MLC Ved Mahajan, Treasurer Rajnish Sharma,  District President Th. Manmohan Singh and others.

She held one-on-one workers meet and combined meeting and sought their view point.  Speaking on the occasion Shri Raman Bhalla said that  the launch of the party’s ambitious plan to restructure and re-energize its organization in the politically crucial states, including Jammu and Kashmir, is the talent needed to defeat the BJP for which the party has launched “Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan” (campaign to rejuvenate the organization), which will focus on appointing a new set of district presidents and empowering them in an effort to decentralize decision-making.

Bhalla said that  Congress President Shri Malikarjun Kharge and LOP Shri Rahul Gandhi want to transform the party, and a beginning has been made at the level of the district president. The party leadership wants to bring the people who are totally committed to the party and are energetic. He asked party cadres of the district and block level to take part in the party’s  Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan  vigoursly to make the programme a success.
