Salman Khan Turns 60 Zoya Akhtar Sends Heartfelt Birthday Wishes

Mumbai, Dec 28: Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar extended a heartfelt birthday wish to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who celebrated his 60th birthday on Saturday. Sharing a throwback photo of Salman from his younger days, Zoya wrote on Instagram, “Happy Birthday Salman 🫂 Health, Happiness and 60 More 🥂 May you shine your starlight forever 🧿❤️.”

Salman kicked off his milestone birthday at his Panvel farmhouse, cutting a cake with the paparazzi gathered outside. In a generous gesture, he even offered slices to the photographers before posing for pictures.

A private celebration followed on Friday night, attended by family and close friends from the film industry. Family members present included his parents Salim and Salma Khan, sister Arpita Khan with her husband Aayush Sharma and their children Ahil and Ayat, nephew Arhaan Khan, and other relatives including Sohail Khan’s son Nirvaan and Arbaaz Khan with wife Shveta Khan and their newborn Sipaara.

Bollywood guests gracing the celebration included Randeep Hooda with Lin Laishram, Genelia Deshmukh with her sons Riaan and Rahyl, Tabu, Nikhil Dwivedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Huma Qureshi, and producer Ramesh Taurani. Former cricketer MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi were also spotted at the event.

On the professional front, Salman is currently working on his highly anticipated war drama “Battle of Galwan”, which recounts the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The film, featuring Chitrangda Singh as the female lead, portrays the soldiers’ hand-to-hand combat using sticks and stones, as firearms were not permitted in the region.
