UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya’s Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Lucknow
Technical Snag Forces Safe Touchdown; Deputy CM Unharmed
Lucknow, Mar 7: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya’s helicopter had to make an emergency landing at Lucknow airport on Saturday after developing a technical snag shortly after taking off from the La Martiniere College helipad, sources said.
The chopper, carrying Maurya, his aide Vivek, and two pilots, along with another passenger, showed signs of smoke inside the cabin soon after departure. The pilots promptly executed an emergency landing, ensuring the safety of all on board.
A BJP official close to Maurya confirmed that the Deputy CM was unharmed and would continue his planned visit to Kaushambi later using another helicopter.
Authorities have dispatched a team of aviation experts to investigate the cause of the technical malfunction that led to the smoke and emergency landing.
