Search Operations Launched After Suspicious Movement in Rajouri, Doda, Poonch
Combing operations intensified across multiple districts after locals report suspicious movement
Jammu, Mar 18: Security forces on Wednesday launched extensive search operations across parts of Jammu and Kashmir following reports of suspicious movement in multiple districts, officials said.
In Rajouri, a late-night operation was initiated in Khandli and nearby areas after locals reported spotting two unidentified individuals moving towards forested terrain through a stream near Palma. Despite sustained efforts, there has been no contact with the suspects so far.
Similar operations are underway in Doda, particularly in Marmat and adjoining villages, where residents reported unusual movement. The region is considered a sensitive corridor often used for movement between Doda and Basantgarh in Udhampur, extending towards parts of Ramban.
Additional search efforts were carried out in Sarlea in Doda and in areas including Dandi Dhara and Ari Sarooti in Poonch district.
Authorities said operations are ongoing, with forces maintaining heightened vigilance across the region to track down any potential threat.
