J&K Govt Announces Major Transfers in Youth Services and Sports Department
Several DYSSOs, Physical Education Lecturers Transferred Across Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu, May 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday carried out a major administrative reshuffle in the Youth Services and Sports Department by transferring several officers and assigning additional responsibilities across multiple districts with immediate effect.
As per an official order issued by the department, several In-charge District Youth Services and Sports Officers (DYSSOs) and Physical Education Lecturers (PELs) have been posted to new locations in both the Jammu and Kashmir divisions to streamline administrative functioning and strengthen sports management at the district level.
Under the latest transfer orders, Sunil Kumar has been shifted from Shopian to Kathua, while Sunil Singh Sambyal has been transferred from Kathua to Samba. Dharamveer Singh has been moved from Samba to Reasi, and Jagdish Raj Sharma has been posted as Assistant Director Jammu after his transfer from Ramban.
Tarsem Singh has been reassigned from Reasi to Udhampur as part of the departmental restructuring. In Kashmir division, Shafqat Ahmad, who was holding the additional charge of Baramulla along with Ganderbal, has now been posted as District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kupwara.
The government order also stated that Zahoor Ahmad Wani and Mushtaq Ahmad Pampori, who were earlier attached with the Directorate, have been appointed as DYSSO Anantnag and DYSSO Baramulla respectively.
Meanwhile, Gh Hassan Lone, currently serving as DYSSO Srinagar, has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of DYSSO Ganderbal till further orders.
Apart from these transfers, the administration has also assigned additional duties to various officers in districts including Doda, Kulgam, Shopian, Budgam, Ramban and Rajouri to ensure smooth functioning of departmental activities and sports-related programmes.
The reshuffle and fresh postings were ordered by Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Youth Services and Sports Department, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the administrative setup of the department across Jammu and Kashmir.
