HYDERABAD, May 29: India is strengthening domestic vaccine research capabilities with biotechnology firms and research institutions receiving fresh policy support for innovation.

Scientists said investments in vaccine development infrastructure are helping improve preparedness against future infectious disease outbreaks. Industry experts noted that India’s pharmaceutical sector remains one of the largest global vaccine suppliers.

Officials also emphasised the importance of research collaboration and faster regulatory support for healthcare innovation.
