Adani Green Promoter Sells 1.3% Stake for Rs 3,246 Crore; Adani Infra Acquires Shares

Promoter entity Ardour Investment Holding trims shareholding as intra-group transaction boosts Adani Infra’s position in the renewable energy firm.

New Delhi, Jun 10: Adani Infra (India) Ltd has acquired a 1.3 per cent stake in Adani Green Energy Ltd through a block deal worth Rs 3,246.50 crore, according to stock exchange data.

The transaction involved promoter group entity Ardour Investment Holding Ltd, which sold 2.15 crore shares of the renewable energy company on the National Stock Exchange. The shares were transferred at an average price of Rs 1,510 each.

Following the sale, Ardour Investment Holding’s stake in Adani Green Energy is expected to decline from the 6.35 per cent holding it reported at the end of the March quarter.

Exchange data showed that Adani Infra (India) Ltd emerged as the buyer for the entire block of shares, marking an internal restructuring of holdings within the Adani Group.

Shares of Adani Green Energy ended the trading session nearly 3 per cent higher at Rs 1,532 apiece on the NSE, reflecting positive investor sentiment despite the stake transfer.
