Google Unveils New AI Tools and Developer Programs at I/O Connect India 2026

NEW DELHI, July 14: Google has announced a series of new artificial intelligence initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s developer and startup ecosystem during the I/O Connect India 2026 event. The company introduced advanced AI tools, educational programmes, and enterprise-focused solutions designed to help developers build next-generation applications while promoting responsible AI adoption.
The announcements reflect Google’s growing investment in India, one of its largest developer communities globally. The company said its latest initiatives will provide developers with easier access to frontier AI models, agentic AI capabilities, and practical learning resources.
Among the key announcements were AI-powered training programmes and updated educational curricula that will help students, software engineers, and entrepreneurs gain hands-on experience with generative AI technologies. Industry experts believe the latest AI initiatives could accelerate innovation across sectors including healthcare, education, fintech, agriculture, and manufacturing by making advanced AI technologies more accessible to businesses of every size.
