Ankit Balyan’s Father Demands Killing of Remaining Accused, Calls Encounter ‘Half Justice’
Satbir Singh welcomes police operation against two suspected shooters but says the family is still awaiting complete justice.
SHAMLI (UP), Aug. 31: Satbir Singh, father of Haryanvi singer and YouTuber Ankit Balyan, on Monday welcomed the police encounter in which two suspected shooters linked to his son’s murder were killed, but called for action against the other accused in the case.
Police said suspected sharpshooters Mohit and Sumit, who each carried a reward of Rs 50,000, were killed during an encounter in Shamli early Monday. They were allegedly wanted in connection with Balyan’s murder.
Responding to the police operation, Singh expressed gratitude to the authorities for the action but said the family had not yet received complete justice.
“We would like to thank the police for this action. We have received half justice, and the other half should be delivered soon,” Singh said.
The encounter marks a significant development in the investigation into Balyan’s killing. The police had announced rewards for information leading to the capture of the two suspected shooters.
Singh’s remarks underline the family’s demand for further action against those still accused in the case. He said the remaining suspects should also face the consequences of their alleged involvement.
The development is expected to draw further attention to the investigation as police continue efforts to trace other individuals allegedly connected with the murder.
Authorities are now expected to focus on identifying and apprehending the remaining accused and determining their respective roles in the case.
