Udhampur admin clarifies report about wine shop selling fruits and vegetables

UDHAMPUR, MAY 09: District administration Udhampur has refuted the social media report about a wine shop selling vegetables and fruits.
“A post is being circulated on Social media regarding a wine shop owner selling fruits and vegetables during Corona Curfew in Udhampur District. After verifying the facts the shop selling fruits and vegetables with a signboard of the wine shop is not a wine shop as all the licences of wine shops of J&K UT were canceled by the government and they were ceased to exist after 30-04-2021” said the Excise and Taxation Officer, Udhampur Reasi Range Rupali Vaid. She added that all the licencees of Udhampur district are already informed to remove the Sign Board before using those premises for another purpose.
