MVD Ramban seizes 4 vehicles, recovers Rs 4500 fine from violators

RAMBAN, JULY 09: Motor Vehicle Department, Ramban has intensified drive to check violation of traffic rules and Covid protocols by the passenger vehicle operators.

The enforcement team led by Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Ramban, Shafqat Majid today conducted a massive checking drive and seized 4 vehicles including two Mini Buses and two Magic Autos, besides booking many drivers under Motor Vehicles Act on the Ramban-Batote route.

The team also recovered Rs. 4500 fine from passenger vehicles for overloading, overcharging, and violation of various extant rules of Motor Vehicles Act. The enforcement team urged private transporters to stick to the 50% restriction on authorized seating capacity to contain the spread of COVID-19infection.

According to the ARTO 10 vehicles were challaned for violation of the MVD Act on the Ramban -Batote route.
