DIC Poonch holds series of awareness events on Drug abuse

POONCH, MARCH 16:  To eradicate the menace of drug abuse, the Department of Information and Public Relation centre Poonch  organized a series of awareness programmes on hazards of Drug  abuse.

 The events were held at Government Degree College Surankote, Nari-Nekatan Mangnar and High School Kanuyian and in other adjoining areas.

The artist of Border Culture Club Poonch led by Kulbir Singh Anjana  presented theme based cultural items and songs  to spread awareness among students/ common masses  about the dangerous consequences  of drug addiction, and how to take care of the children and keep a watch on their activities and behavior.

  The District Information Officer, Abid Hussain Shah  said that the event was aimed to make    the people aware about the drug abuse and its consequences with special focus on the awareness of youngsters and their parents.

Students and people of the area appreciated the District Information Centre Poonch and called for holding more such programmes in future also.

Social activists, youngsters, Students, School staff besides locals of the area were present.
