JAMMU: There is no dearth of talent in Jammu as many sons and daughters of the soil have set-up benchmarks in different fields and the process is underway with new generation breaking old records by showcasing genius and adroitness.
This was said by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta during a small but impressive event wherein the BJP stalwart leader felicitated child prodigy par excellence Anvika Mahajan for achieving the feat of securing a spot in the coveted India Book of Records after showing excellence in three different categories despite having a tender age of three years and eleven months.
The senior BJP leader honoured the extraordinarily talented girl by offering Bhagwat Gita and Mata Ki Chunri. Daughter of Dr. Sukriti and Ankit Gupta, Anvika Mahajan, a LKG class student has broken 2 old records and created a new record within a short period of one week. Under 3 to 7 years category, she showed her phenomenal quality to memorize and recall chemical names of generic drugs for 20 symptoms in only 52 seconds under the category ‘Medicines for maximum symptoms recalled by a kid’. The second record she set was for answering maximum number of GK questions in a minute and the third one was of answering maximum number of questions related to GK in 30 seconds.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder said that display of such kind of intelligence at this tender age is astonishing and if children like Anvika will get the right platform then sky is the only limit for them to excel and bring in laurels for the UT and their parents. He wished her all the best for her upcoming endeavours and congratulated the family for nurturing and grooming their child with momentous efforts.
It is pertinent to mention that Anvika is granddaughter of Anil Gupta from Anphar Lab, who is the son of Y R Gupta.
Kavinder said that Anvika has set a benchmark for the new generation and children from J&K should take cue from her achievements and must try to follow her to achieve similar goals in their lives.
