Smt. Poornima Sharma Visits Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society’s Langar: Interacts with Pilgrims

Poornima Sharma, BJP Spokesperson, and Ex-Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation paid a visit to the langar of Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society (SAYWS), located opposite Saraswati Dham at the Railway Station. During her visit, Madam Poornima Sharma interacted with the pilgrims and assessed the facilities provided to them. Accompanied by Sh. Ishant Gupta, President of Lakhdata Bazaar Businessman Association, Vishal Mahajan, President of Bus Stand, and Subash Anand, President, she also actively participated in serving the langar to the pilgrims and commended the excellent services offered by SAYWS.
In recognition of their valuable contributions, SAYWS office bearers honored both dignitaries. Madam Poornima Sharma expressed her appreciation for the langar committee’s tireless efforts. Sh. Kiran Wattal, President of SAYWS, conveyed gratitude to all guests for their visit and provided an overview of the society’s activities.
Sh. Anil Gupta, Senior Vice President of SAYWS, highlighted the utmost attention given to maintaining cleanliness at the langar site and the provision of packaged drinking water bottles to pilgrims. He praised the administration and police personnel for their round-the-clock services to the pilgrims. Sh. Gupta also acknowledged the media’s role in providing timely information to the pilgrims.
Emphasizing the society’s self-sustained efforts, Sh. Gupta revealed that approximately 3,000 to 4,000 pilgrims were served langar at the SAYWS venue daily. He urged the pilgrims to adhere to the guidelines issued by the administration and expressed gratitude to all dignitaries for their kind visit and interaction with the Yatris.
Prominent attendees at the event included Ashok Khajuria, ex-MLA BJP, Anil Gupta, Senior Vice President of SAYWS, Prem Ji, General Secretary of SAYWS, Kamal Ganjoo, Ashok Sharma Ji, among others. The visit by Smt. Poornima Sharma and other dignitaries reaffirmed the commitment of SAYWS towards providing exceptional services and support to the pilgrims of Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
