BMO, Team Bani meet DC Kathua, seek adequate infrastructure for SDH Bani

BANI, MAY 26: BMO Bani, Dr Dev Raj along with the members of Team Bani Cooperative Ltd met the Deputy Commissioner Kathua and highlighted various issues regarding the lack of infrastructure in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bani including the shortage of staff and ambulance here today. The Team Bani Members also highlighted various other pressing issues and informed the Deputy Commissioner that the team has been providing various services to the patients and their attendants at the aforesaid hospital. They emphasized that the team has also been providing free of cost food facility to the patients and attendants on a limited scale and are aiming to make this service a 24X7 facility at the Sub District Hospital Bani very soon.

The Team Bani members said that provision of the above mentioned services has been possible after about 40 years now and that too after BMO Bani, Dr Dev Raj took this noble initiative not only to improve the infrastructure at SDH Bani by preparing a project worth approximately Rs. 20 crore to include all facilities that were lacking for decades. They told the Deputy Commissioner that if this proposed project gets approval, it will be a great achievement for Medical Department and the public of Bani.

The team asserted that Bani which is remote, far flung and hilly area having no facility of any specialists or other necessary facilities in hospital and the administration must initiate measures to provide the lacking facilities at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bani.

After giving a patient hearing to the team Bani members Deputy Commissioner Kathua assured all possible help to improve the facilities at this Sub District Hospital in remote and far flung area.
