CBI Searches at Different Locations In J&K Over Irregularities In Finance Dept Recruitment Exam

03-02-2023 : In connection with alleged anomalies in the recruitment exam for Accounts Assistants in the Finance Department held on March 6 last year, the CBI conducted searches at 37 locations in six districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, according to sources.

They added that searches are also being conducted in other regions, including as Udhampur, Rajapuri, and Doda. On Friday morning, CBI sleuths swooped down at the premises of middlemen and other suspects at 30 locations in Jammu.

According to officials, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) examination is where the CBI allegedly found anomalies in November of last year.

Twenty people have been booked in the case, including Neelam Khajuria, a former JKSSB member, Anju Raina, a section officer, and Karnail Singh, a former BSF frontier headquarters medical officer who was also a suspect in the J-K Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination Scam case.

The board held the test on March 6, 2022, and the results were released on April 21 of that same year.
