Sports infrastructure strengthened under Modi Regime: Col Mahan
Plassi (Kathua): Col Mahan Singh, DDC Chairman Kathua, highlighted the significant improvement in sports infrastructure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking at the Chhinj Mela in Plassi, Kathua, Col Mahan Singh emphasized the government’s focus on strengthening sports facilities and promoting sports activities across the country. This underscores the commitment of the Modi regime to enhance sports infrastructure and provide opportunities for athletes to excel. The efforts made in this regard have played a pivotal role in bolstering the sports sector and encouraging the growth of sporting talent in India, he added.
The DDC Chairman Kathua was the chief guest on the final day of the two-day Chhinj Mela held at Plassi in Basohli Sub District. The event witnessed an impressive participation of over 30,000 enthusiastic individuals.
The second day of the event kicked off with a captivating cultural program by renowned Dogri singer Sars Bharti and her group. More than 5,000 participants, predominantly women and youth, graced the occasion. Ms. Sars, known as a social media youth icon, delivered a splendid performance that left the audience in awe.
Col Mahan Singh also extended a warm welcome to the participants, including wrestlers from various states and artists.
The Dangal event, eagerly anticipated by the residents, lived up to its reputation as the best Dangal in the region. The wrestlers showcased their skills and enthralled the crowd with their remarkable performances, adding to the excitement of the Chhinj Mela.
DDC Member Tajinder Goldy, Darshan Singh, Satpanch Ramesh Chander, Capt Harnam, PC Sharma, Ram Chand Ex BDO, and others were present. Their presence further enriched the vibrant atmosphere of the Chhinj Mela.
