Congress hits at Centre, LG for running parallel Govt. to boost BJP

Jammu, March 12— Holding centre & LG administration responsible for the deteriorated security and law & order situation in Billawar, Bani other entire hilly belts of Kathua district, the Congress today strongly hit the duo (centre government and LG administration ) for running a parallel govt to boost BJP, thus sending wrong message amongst people who recently defeated BJP from right to rule but to play the role of opposition.

Addressing a press conference at Party HQ here today, JKPCC working President Raman Bhalla, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Former Minister Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma & senior leader Sdr T S Tony strongly condemned the LG administration for not allowing the top leaders of Congress including Ch Lal Singh & Dr Manohar Lal Sharma from visiting their home segments to meet Billawar victims & for sharing the grief of victims and attending the last rites, while only BJP leaders were freely allowed to go.

Even the Dy chief minister was not allowed to go, what can be more partisan and dictatorial attitude of the LG administration who controls the police besides in charge law and order and security situation under direct monitoring of the Home Ministry.

The local leaders like Ch Lal Singh & Dr Manohar Lal Sharma who represented the area several times as MP, Ministers/ MLAs, can’t share grief of people except BJP leaders from anywhere. What does this mean and what the BJP from centre and LG wants to convey to the people, that they don’t respect their mandate to an elected government.

This is very serious situation when an elected Chief Minister has to tell that control room for police is away from civil sect. While responding in the assembly The center and BJP should respect the mandate of people and not send a wrong message to the people who blame the BJP for the mess of things being created here despite loosing mandate to rule.

Dr Manohar Lal Sharma explained that how he and Ch Lal Singh ji were stopped and not allowed to move ahead to their native assembly segments whereas BJP MLAs and others were allowed to go. He questioned this surprising situation in a democracy on the behest of BJP who wanted to hide their utter failure to control the worsening situation. Till today govt is clueless or hiding as MOS PMO has already claimed it terror acts. He also referred to the missing of two other tribal boys for the past twelve days in the district besides other unfortunate incidents taking place in the district speaking of the bad situation.

Working President Raman Bhalla expressed serious concerns over the incidents and the over all law & order situation in the district Kathua including in Jammu city and adjoining districts, where crime rate has increased many fold besides loot, arson, theft and dacoity  incidents by the mafia has been stepped up.

He said that the people of the city are suffering in several areas due to the failure of municipal authorities & administration to provide regular drinking water. Even on payment for tankers, the consumers have to wait for three or to four days, wheras it is the duty of authorities to provide regular supply . During our government, free tanker services were available to people where supply was insufficient & demanded same practice to be followed.

He and Shri T S Tony also raised the issue of an ammunition depot being established in the close vicinity of the civilian population in the Sujwan area and becoming a source of great harassment.
They demanded that the authorities should reconsider the decision in the large interests of the civilian population.

Taking up the issue of Daily wagers, the senior Congress leaders fully supported their demand for regularisation besides a regularization policy for all those categories of youth working in different temporary ad-hoc, consolidated capacities on meager wages for years.
The BJP betrayed daily wagers & all such categories of employees for ten years, who were promised regularization before,2014 but were rained lathis during the past ten years. Now BJP leaders are shedding crocodile tears to hide their betrayal but fail to explain why centre cut the budget allocations this year instead of granting a special package for the disturbed region, wheras Bihar & Andhra avail special package from the Modi government.

They demanded a special financial package for J&K to meet the most genuine and urgent demands from daily wagers, need-based, contractual, ad hoc, consolidated, NHM, temporary, Anganwadi workers, Asha, SPOs, NYC, CIC operators, MGNREGA, HDF, and other such categories should get justice in the hands of the elected government.
