Declining Trend: India Reports 106 New Covid-19 Cases and Decreased Active Cases

15-06-2023 : According to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry, India has reported 106 new coronavirus infections, with the number of active cases dropping to 2,067. The data, updated at 8 am, also revealed one death in the past 24 hours in Chhattisgarh, bringing the total death toll to 5,31,893.

The total Covid-19 case tally in the country has now reached 4.49 crore (4,49,93,186). The Union Health Ministry highlighted that the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.81 percent, with a significant number of individuals, 4,44,59,226 to be precise, having successfully recovered from the disease. The case fatality rate remains relatively low at 1.18 percent.

In terms of vaccination efforts, the ministry’s website reports that a staggering 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered nationwide as part of the ongoing vaccination drive. This indicates a significant push in immunization efforts to safeguard the population against the virus.
