Div Com conducts surprise inspection of Sub Registrar Offices

JAMMU, NOVEMBER, 11: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Raghav Langer on Thursday conducted a surprise visit in the Offices of Sub Registrar, Jammu North, Jammu South, Jammu Khas and inspected Registration related records of these Offices.

During the visit, the Div Com randomly scrutinized the records and also interacted with the vendors, vendees, and lawyers who had come with their clients about the issues being faced by them.

Div Com also listened to the general grievances of the people who had come for the registration of documents as per their scheduled appointment.

The Div Com checked the reconciliation of records, offline registers being maintained, total time taken by the Sub Registrar Offices for registration of documents, and also scrutinized the documents, as per checklist. The workflow of the registration process was also assessed and directions were issued to Sub Registrars to expedite the same and make the process totally hassle-free for the public.

Some of the sale deeds and mortgage deeds being put up for registration were also randomly checked by the Divisional Commissioner.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner also sought data from the concerned Sub Registrars regarding total registrations done in the current financial year, stamp duty and registration fee collected, and a total valuation of the documents registered.
