GDC Dudu Basantgarh, in line with Gandhi Jayanti Celebration, organized Swachhata Abhiyan rally

22-09-2022 : Government Degree College Dudu Basantgarh, in line with Gandhi Jayanti Celebration, organized Swachhata Abhiyan rally.  Amidst raising slogans on Clean India Mission, more than hundred students of the college participated in the rally.

The rally began from the premises of the college and ended at view point Shivgali which is a tourist spot for so many tourists, inside as well as outside the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The students of the college spread the cleanliness campaign among the local residents, shopkeepers and many other visitors who had come there to enjoy the beauty of Shivgali. Students of the college were accompanied by the teaching staff of the college. While speaking on the occasion, principal of the college Dr Bhavnaish Chand asked the students to keep themselves as well as their surroundings clean because cleanliness is the mantra of a sound body and mind. He also advised the students to reduce the usage of plastic and polythene.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Vijay Kumar and Dr PP Singh motivated the students to keep their localities clean and green alongside spreading the message to different community members. Further the other staff members also added that the students of any institution are the good messengers to spread such type of messages and awareness programs initiated by the government of India. As responsible citizens of the country it becomes our collective priority as well as responsibility to become a part of such campaigns because government on its own cannot do anything without the active participation of everyone irrespective of religion, gender, age group, region etc.
