26-11-2021: GDC Dudu BasntGarh celebrated Samvidhan Diwas to commemorate the day of adoption of our Constitution. The day aims to aware the masses about the importance of the Constitution as well as its main architect Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. On this occasion, College organized an offline Quiz Competition on the topic Indian Constitution. All The students of the college participated actively in the competition.
Earlier, the Principal of the college, faculty members, and the students took Pledge on the preamble of the constitution of India. After this students were made to understand about the pledge and its proper application in our daily lives. The principal of the college Dr. B.C. Anthal addressed the students about the importance of the constitution in the nation-building process. Let us reaffirm our commitment towards democratic ideals, values enshrined in the constitution and renew our pledge to preserve & protect them. The Constitution of India is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world. He said that due to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters we are living in a free India. He also motivated the students to participate in the nation-building process.
Three teams participated in the Quiz competition. Team B comprising of Ms. Shabnam Bano, Mr. Varinder Singh, and Mr. Surjeet Kumar secured the first position. The principal of the college distributed prized among the winners of the quiz competition.
The program was organized by the Department of Political Science under the supervision of worthy Principal of the College. In the concluding ceremony, the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Pradeep Kumar.
