Jammu & Kashmir regions symbolise unity, tolerance: Chowdary Ramzan 

Srinagar, 16 Jan: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Senior leader Addl General Secretary and Member of Rajya Sabha Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan Thursday addressed party workers describing Jammu and Kashmir as a land renowned for its rich composite culture, age-old traditions of brotherhood, and mutual respect, where people of different faiths have coexisted peacefully for centuries.

He said that unity, tolerance and communal harmony form the bedrock of Jammu and Kashmir’s social fabric and must be safeguarded at all costs. Choudhary Mohammad Ramzan cautioned that deliberate attempts are being made to weaken these foundational values, but asserted that the people of the region, through collective resolve, awareness, and solidarity, will decisively foil such designs.

Highlighting the National Conference’s unwavering commitment to democratic values, secularism, and social justice, he said the party has consistently stood as a bulwark against injustice. He noted that since 2019, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been grappling with serious political, social, and economic challenges, and reaffirmed that the National Conference continues to raise a strong and principled voice for the rights, dignity and aspirations of the people.
