Liquor shop sealed for violation of COVID-19 SOPs in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 29: On the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today Excise Taxation Officer, Udhampur-Reasi Range  Rupali Vaid and Tehsildar  Udhampur Amit Verma conducted a surprise inspection in the vicinity of Udhampur town.

During the inspection, a wine shop was closed by district authorities in view of the non-adherence of COVID protocols, which is the Government’s top priority in view of the surge in COVID cases.           Meanwhile, the officers found that a shop named Eagle wine shop was not following COVID-19 SOPs like wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing.

The officers ordered to seal the shop and added that no laxity will be tolerated for violating the government guidelines.  Fine was also imposed on the owner of the wine shop for not maintaining social distancing.

 The officers also sensitized the common masses on wearing face masks, maintain social distancing, and washing hands frequently and warned that if any person found not following the COVID-19 protocol will be booked as per the relevant provisions of law.
