Modi govt ensured lasting peace on borders: Khatana

Jammu, June 2: BJP MP Rajya Sabha Er. Gulam Ali Khatana has said that PM Narendra Modi has ensured lasting peace on borders resulting into increased economic activities in the border areas. He said that cross border firing is now a thing of past and people are living peacefully and prospering.

Addressing an impressive gathering on International border at Pargwal, Akhnoor as part of 9 Saal Bemisaal on completion of 9 years of Modi govt, MP Gulam Ali said  that infrastructure development, economic prosperity, serving the poorest among the poor is the focus of the NDA Govt. He said that the bridge on river Chenab worth more than Rs. 200 crore in Pargwal area connecting the border areas became possible after 70 years of Independence only under BJP Govt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid emphasis on connectivity across the country and new railway routes, introduction of Vande Bharat and Bullet trains, 74 airports, express highways became possible only due to the visionary leadership of Sh. Narendra Modi.

MP Gulam Ali said that as part of visiting Vikas Tirath, he was fortunate to visit the land of warriors who faced migration umpteen times including 1947, 1965, 1971, 1998 but still came back to the land of their fore-fathers. The people of Akhnoor, Jourian, Khour, pargwal, RS Pura and border belt upto Kathua  faced bullets from across the border and suffered loss of life, property and wealth but remain committed to their lands and cultivated them again.

MP Khatana said that BJP govt is committed to better the lot of the border dwellers and the poor and downtrodden and 9 years of Modi govt are a proof of that.

He said that Ayushman Bharat scheme is a blessing for the poor who can now get treatment in best hospitals upto 5 lakh rupees.
