Shivam Patare’s Super 10, Jaideep Dahiya’s High Five Propel Steelers to Season’s Biggest Win
Delhi, Oct 17 : In a commanding performance, Haryana Steelers registered the biggest winning margin of PKL 12, thrashing UP Yoddhas 53-26 at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Thursday. The 27-point victory also propelled them to fifth place on the points table.
Jaideep Dahiya led the team with a High Five, while Shivam Patare delivered a stellar Super 10. Substitute Ghanshyam Magar contributed eight raid points, and Neeraj added four tackle points, underscoring the Steelers’ dominance.
The defending champions started aggressively, with Vinay scoring his 100th raid point of the season and Sahil Narwal anchoring defence. Rahul Sethpal executed a brilliant tackle for the game’s first all out, giving Haryana a 12-5 lead early on. Shivam Patare completed his Super 10 by halftime, helping the Steelers lead 26-12 despite Keshav Kumar’s efforts for UP Yoddhas.
Although UP Yoddhas showed some fight in the second half, narrowing the gap to ten points, Haryana’s defence, including key tackles by Sahil Narwal, Ashu Singh, and Neeraj, maintained control. The Steelers executed three more all-outs in the final quarter, with Shivam Patare and Jaideep Dahiya leading raids to secure a decisive 53-26 win.
