PM Modi Chairs Chief Secretaries’ Meet, Reviews Governance Reforms
Conference focuses on governance reforms and human capital development to accelerate India’s growth journey
New Delhi, Dec 28 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired the fifth meeting of the National Conference of Chief Secretaries in New Delhi, with a focus on governance reforms and strengthening India’s human capital.
The conference, currently underway at Bharat Mandapam, aims to align the priorities of the Centre and states to drive the country’s overall development. Emphasising reform and performance, the Prime Minister said the discussions were crucial for enhancing India’s administrative ecosystem.
“Had insightful discussions on various issues relating to governance and reforms during the National Conference of Chief Secretaries being held in Delhi,” PM Modi posted on X.
This year’s conference is centred on the theme ‘Human Capital for Viksit Bharat’ and features deliberations on early childhood education, schooling, skilling, higher education, and the promotion of co-curricular development.
Key sessions also cover deregulation at the state level, the use of technology in governance, and the implementation of initiatives under the Atmanirbhar Bharat programme.
The conference is being organised by NITI Aayog in collaboration with Union ministries and state governments, with the objective of finalising a common roadmap to fully harness India’s human capital potential.
